The Ocean Beach Hotel is the premier hotel in San Diego’s popular beach town, Ocean Beach. This historic hotel has been newly remodeled in the Spring of 2003. The new accommodations were inspired by Italian villas lining the Mediterranean Sea.
Ocean Beach is just south of the Mission Bay channel entrance. This is a wide beach approximately one mile long and water is divided into surfing and swimming/boogie board zones. A volleyball area can be found near the north end of the beach.
The Ocean Beach Municipal Pier, at the south end of the beach is available for walking and fishing. There is a restaurant and bait shop on the pier. |

One unique feature of Ocean Beach is Dog Beach, a sandy area at the northernmost end. This is an area where dogs are permitted without a leash at all hours of the day. Dog owners are responsible for control and clean-up of their dogs.
