| Hypnosis is more mainstream than many people think. In 1958 the American Medical Association approved the use of hypnosis and it is being taught in all the major medical schools. Hypnosis is a naturally induced state of relaxed concentration. It is complete physical and mental relaxation where we can communicate suggestions to our subconscious mind. We all enter hypnosis everyday. Have you ever been driving your car and realized you don’t recall passing the last two exits? Have you ever just stared into a fire and been a “million miles away”? Both of these are examples of hypnosis. Why would one go into this state? There are too many reasons to list but the most popular uses of hypnosis are weightloss, smoking cessation, painless childbirth and pain management. Hypnosis is also used for behavior modification and assisting medical professionals with speeding up treatment or making a condition easier to cope with. Some of the medical conditions that can be assisted are pain management, surgery preparation and post surgery healing, migraines, skin conditions, asthma. |

| Words cannot express my heartfelt gratitude to you for helping me to change my lifestyle. - S.P., Rancho Bernardo |
The power of hypnosis is amazing. I took a seventeen year tobacco addiction and with hypnosis, beat it cold within two weeks. - T.F., Jan 2006 |

| You open the refrigerator door and the first thing your eyes go to is the leftover piece of cake. But a little voice comes from somewhere in your mind and says, “You should not eat that.” You look at the fruit drawer and the struggle in your mind begins. Fruit or cake? Does this sound familiar? Your conscious mind is telling you what you should do and your subconscious mind is saying what you want to do. Using hypnosis, I can help you access your subconscious mind and give you positive and appropriate suggestions to help you make the right choices. When the two sides of your mind agree, it isn’t quite so hard to make the right decisions. The two sides can work together instead of against each other and eventually it all becomes automatic and habitual. |
Did you know that after being smoke-free for one year your risk of heart attack is half that of a smoker? And being smoke-free for 10 years that risk falls to the same as someone who has never smoked. It is never too late to stop smoking. The benefits actually begin as soon as eight hours after your last cigarette when the nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in your blood return to normal. Getting the nicotine out of your system - The nicotine will be out of your system in four days or less. Not one client has told me that they had a physical craving. Conquering the habit - The subconscious mind is where all your habits are. By working directly in the subconscious, any unwanted behavior can be changed. |
| Yes, it is absolutely possible to have a painless childbirth. Since the time we were little girls all we have heard is how painful childbirth is. So we go into the "labor room" - which implies work – and we get tense and are afraid of all the pain. Our bodies react to this tension causing our muscles to tense up. The birth canal is a large muscle and the baby has to squeeze its way down. But if we were to walk in there unafraid and relaxed, there would be no resistance and the birth canal could open right up. There is no need for chemical anesthesia. And because there is no resistance, the delivery time is much shorter. HypnoBirthing® is a philosophy as well as a childbirthing technique. HypnoBirthing® teaches the mother complete relaxation and to trust her body to birth the baby as nature intended her to do. Childbirth is not a medical procedure, but a naturally occurring event that has been happening since before the inventions of epidurals, chemical anesthesias, cesarean sections and forceps. HypnoBirthing® frees the mother from fear, which then releases the tension that causes pain. Just as our bodies "know" how to develop a child, it also "knows" how to birth one. HypnoBirthing® teaches women to trust their bodies and to go with the natural flow and rhythm of labor. When a woman works with her body instead of against it, she can have a comfortable, pain-free labor. HypnoBirthing® labors tend to be shorter and the babies are born calmer. After the birth, the family can focus on bonding instead of recovering. |

| I've been thinking about you ever since Sarah's
birth. My labor was short, just like you said most Hypnobirths are. I had no meds! Thank you so much for educating us about so many things. - Carolyn, Saber Springs |
Jennifer seemed very confident in the hypnobirthing premise and passed that along to us through her classes. She is very positive and helpful. Deborah, San Diego |
