Bicyclist dies after being hit by 2 automobiles at Vista intersection

VISTA, Calif. (CNS) – A bicyclist was killed after being struck by two automobiles at a Vista intersection, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division stated Friday.

At 10:28 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a collision between two automobiles and a bicyclist on South Melrose Drive on the intersection with Buena Vista Drive, SDCSD Sgt. Eric Cottrell stated.

The primary motorist ran into the bicyclist, remained on the scene, and cooperated with the investigation, Cottrell stated.

A second motorist struck the bicyclist and left the scene, the sergeant stated. The second motorist was believed to have been driving a white crossover or SUV.

The bicyclist was pronounced useless on the scene, Cottrell stated.

The sheriff’s division is in search of the general public’s assist in finding the automobile that left the scene.

Anybody with details about the crash was requested to name Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. As much as a $1,000 reward was being provided for info that results in an arrest.
