Ex-MLB star Darryl Strawberry recovering from coronary heart assault: 'Your prayers are so completely appreciated'

(NEXSTAR) – Former MLB star and World Sequence champion Darryl Strawberry is recovering after struggling a coronary heart assault this week, he revealed on Instagram.

Strawberry, 62, indicated that he was hospitalized at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, someday Monday night.

“Praising God for His superb grace and loving mercy in saving my life this night from a coronary heart assault,” Strawberry wrote in his submit, which included a photograph of him in a hospital mattress. “I’m so joyful and honored to report that every one is properly.”

The eight-time All-Star additionally thanked his docs for “bringing me by way of a stent-procedure that has introduced my coronary heart to whole restoration,” he wrote.
