Firefighters throughout San Diego County 'Fill the Boot' to assist Burn Institute

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Hearth crews swarmed intersections throughout San Diego County on Thursday for the annual “Fill the Boot” donation drive.

The occasion marks 25 years that San Diego County firefighters have been teaming as much as assist the Burn Institute, with the funds collected staying locally for hearth and burn prevention training and to assist native burn survivors.

On Thursday morning, greater than 500 native first responders across the county participated within the fundraising efforts.
