Pedestrian hit by car, killed on I-15 in Mission Valley space

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – The California Freeway Patrol is investigating the demise of a person who died after he was hit by a car on Interstate 15 within the Mission Valley space Wednesday afternoon.

In line with CHP officers, a Honda Ingredient was heading northbound on I-15, close to Friars Highway, at round 1:45 p.m. when the car hit a person strolling within the freeway lanes.

The 28-year-old pedestrian from San Diego was severely injured and pronounced lifeless on the scene, CHP officers stated. He was not recognized.

CHP officers stated the Ingredient’s driver, a 33-year-old man from Chula Vista, “remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.”

The emergency response of the collision pressured the closure of no less than three northbound I-15 lanes for no less than an hour.

The CHP’s San Diego Space department is investigating the occasions that led as much as the crash, and officers added, “A toxicology report is pending by means of the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s workplace to find out if alcohol/and or medicine have been an element within the crash.”
