Prepared, Set, Spell! Over 80 native college students participate in 2024 San Diego County Regional Spelling Bee

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – The 2024 San Diego County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee will start on the Jackie Robinson YMCA Thursday, with greater than 80 college students from grades six to eight competing to symbolize the county on the Nationwide Spelling Bee.

The winner will symbolize San Diego County on the Scripps Nationwide Spelling Bee within the Washington, D.C. space in late Could, with semifinals and finals in June.

Walter Ritter, government director of Write Out Loud, would be the official phrase pronouncer for the occasion.
