San Diego State's Brian Dutcher indicators contract extension via 2027-28 season

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Brian Dutcher, who led San Diego State to the nationwide championship sport final season, has signed a contract extension that can maintain him on the Aztecs’ bench via the 2027-28 season.

Dutcher is in his seventh season as head coach, with a 173-55 file, and twenty fifth season total at SDSU. He was Steve Fisher’s assistant for 18 seasons.

In a press release Wednesday, Dutcher thanked SDSU officers and added, “Our success started 25 years in the past when my good friend Steve Fisher got here to The Mesa and together with my assistant coaches, we’ve got constructed a program that competes on a nationwide degree each evening.
